Detailed Description

Motu Nui is a small island where the habitants of the Eastern Islands were going, once a year, to look after the Manutara's egg (Manutara is the bird-man) in order to become a chief. This watercolour is a part of the series Lunas (Moons), based on a journey to Eastern Islands where for the first time the painter observed the phenomenon of Macro Moons which he started to paint at 2002
