PicassoMio´s growing team includes professionals and advisors with backgrounds in art, Internet, media and business and significant experience with major galleries, technology and media companies. 

A brief description of our founders and advisors is as follows: 

Allan Majotra, Founder & Advisor

Prior to founding PicassoMio in 1999, Allan worked as a Vice President / Director in the Investment Banking group of Union Bank of California, Los Angeles. During his six-year stint in finance, Allan became a Vice President at the age of 27, at the largest bank headquartered on the West Coast. During this period, he raised capital for companies in the entertainment, retail, energy, and technology sectors. Previously, Allan had worked at the United Nations, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Mitsubishi and with a non-profit environmental agency.  He has also collaborated with PricewaterhouseCoopers on a major research project, in association with London Business School.

Interested in the arts since his childhood, Allan has performed as a concert-level musician. With both parents involved in fine arts and literature, PicassoMio was a natural outcome, when he started the organization with his friend, Nicholas Marchalleck. In a short period, PicassoMio.com transformed the art business, becoming the most important international art sales channel, with over 1 Million monthly visitors and clients in over 50 countries.

Allan's interests include writing, social issues, film, design, travelling, tennis and golf. He has worked and lived on four continents. Allan is bilingual in English and Spanish and conversational in four other languages.

He has also appeared as a guest on major television shows on entreprenuership, arts and culture and as a guest lecturer on entreprenuership, art, culture, art collecting, and marketing at important institutions, worldwide.  He has also served on the selection committe for a major "VC - Deal of the Year" award.

Allan is currently a Sloan Fellow at the prestigious London Business School working on his MSc in Management and Leadership.

Nicholas Marchalleck, Founder & Advisor

Nicholas Marchalleck advises PicassoMio on its Internet and operations strategy.

He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg Fl, and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa. He has co-authored and authored numerous published research articles on the topic of Artificial Intelligence, and he is co-applicant on a patent for a method of inventory management using a mobile device.

Nicholas has over 15 years experience as a software developer and product manager in the mobile software and wholesale distribution sectors for major publicly-traded and privately-held companies.

Nicholas is a native of Jamaica, but now lives in Boca Raton, FL with wife and daughter. His interests include windsurfing, photography and golf.  His interest in art commenced at an early age due to his family collection of works by leading artists from the Caribbean.
