Bearden, Romare

American painter and collage-artist, also considered as an important figure in African-American art and culture.

His most renowned works have been his collages combining photographic images with other mediums and paints. These works have been compared to Jazz music and were part of a retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art MOMA, in New York.
