An established American artist, Timothy Mendelsohn worked in both black and white and color photography.
He graduated from the Pratt Institute in New York, and later from the Art Institute of Chicago with a specialty in photography, and worked for both Henry Bendel and Saks Fifth Avenue.
His work has been shown both in the United States, and throughout Spain, where he lived for a few years before his death.
