Malgrat de Mar, Barcelona, Spain, 1945
An established Spanish artist, Salvador Freixas works in a figurative style. He is inspired by the great masters of the 17th and 18th centuries, imitating their techniques by applying veils of dark paint to create sharp contrast.
He studied drawing and painting at the Escuela del Mediterraneo and the Estudio de la Sala Gaudi, both in Barcelona.
He has exhibited his work throughout Spain.
