FRENCH master painter, printmaker and designer, Raol Dufy is best known for his sombre paintings, large murals and design work.
Trained at the Ã?cole des Beux-Arts, he worked in styles, such as IMPRESSIONISM and FAUVISM. During his long career, he also created designs for his friend, Paul PORIET, the fashion designer and BIANCHINI-FÃ?RIER, a famous silk manufacturer.
He was also commissioned for various murals in Paris and was awarded the Painting Prize at the Venice Biennale (1952).
