Beijing-based artists The Luo Brothers are responsible for some of China's most provocative and renowned contemporary art and their work has been instrumental in establishing major trends in Chinese art such as the 'Political Pop' and 'Gaudy Art' movements. They are stylistically aligned with a 'pop' sensibility, charged by political fervour and informed by generations of local traditional craft-making techniques. They have created some of the best known and provocative contemporary Chinese works.
