Detailed Description

The burning fire basket from Gebr. Knip shows 24 one-word poems with which everyone enters into their own relationship with the fire. Every time the fire glows or burns in the basket, the words flare up and disappear again. In the design of the fire basket the challenge lies in the use of the elementary language (letters and words) as a building block for the entire object. The fire basket is laser-cut from 4mm thick untreated steel. In time the fire basket will rust away completely, which is part of the concept. Using the two specially designed open-ended spanners, assembly is very easy. The fire basket comes in a wooden crate which also serves as the first kindling wood.
