Humberto de Granda Calderín Biography

Humberto de Granda Calderín born in Spain.

Since childhood creativity has been a constant in his life, so he has always been looking for different ways to his development, but mainly with paint.

He began studying architecture in Las Palmas, later his family moved to Madrid and began studying design. He began his career creating fabrics and patterns that would later be distributed by different factories for further preparation. His first designs were very architectural, due to the influence gained in the first years of architecture.

Over the years was acquiring expertise, who helped him in his painting reflect all that he saw around him. During this time his painting was realistic and structured, because of all the knowledge he had acquired. During this stage made some exhibitions in Madrid, which helped him to enter the world of art.

Constantly seeking new horizons projects and moved to USA, where he combines painting with his studies of Economics. This is where influenced by a new world for him, begins a total transformation in both the technique and how to perform their work. It is at this time where it really begins to develop professionally.

All his work is a process of research and development of the subject. Works with all types of materials, both as natural waste, which processes and transforms, up to the point of encounter between matter, balance, color, expression, etc..

His painting is somewhat ecological processes materials since it had not been used, they would have ended up being a factor environmental contaminant. His work is inspired by both personal issues and issues related to the environment in which it moves. A clear reflection of this is evident in the titles of their works.

In his American stage performs different collective and individual projects. In Missouri makes a group exhibition at The Old Railway Station Saint Louis, where pictures like "American Dream" and "All My Feeling For You" get a great review. All the pictures were related to very personal experiences.

Then out in San Francisco and the following year made an exhibition in Chicago.

Back in Spain continuously exposing and selling his work from his studio in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. During the month of July 2000 held an exhibition called "STUFF LIVE" in The Canary Foundation Mapfre Guanarteme in the same city.

It is produced in very large culture shock on his return to Las Palmas, where he began a stage very personal. A new very intimate and evolutionary stage, which is reflected in titles like; Desátame, Breaking, Reunion, Balance, and Rebirth.

After a period as staff begin to open up a little inspiration to the world and all that you see and looks around.

In summary it can qualify as a researcher in constant search of the transformation of matter and later debugging to get to make it a way of life and expression.
