Carlos Andean is an emerging Honduran painter that came to Spain five years ago in search of inspiration. Before arriving in Spain, he was already an expert in sketching the human figure, especially that of woman.
Andean paints in a figurative style and he has a strong love for a woman and their figures.
For him, " The woman is more special to paint for her expression, and her emotions. I often stop, look, and get my models to open their mouth just slightly, close their eyes or bend their head down to get them to tell me a story with their expressions and body movement. "
The compositions of his lines are fine and extended, smooth and delicate. His work is flooded with small details and infinity of colour.
At present he is preparing an exposition for 30 works dedicated to the Spanish woman, particularly woman or Gypsy origin.
