Henri Cartier-Bresson
1908.

French photographer, considered by many as the father of photojournalism.

Known for capturing images of the ‘ decisive moment ’, also the title of his first major book, published in 1952, Henry Cartier-Bresson was a master of form, content and expression.

In 1947, he co founded the prestigious agency, Magnum Photos with his friends, Robert Capa, David Seymour and George Rodger. He was the first photographer to be exhibited at the Louvre Museum in Paris. His last years were spent painting and drawing portraits and landscapes.
