Yves Klein Artwork Details

Detailed Description

An original artwork by well-known French artist Yves Klein, who is classified as neo-Dada or early Post-Modernist. His early painting is marked by a monochromatic blue palette.

As well as conventionally made paintings, he also used “living brushes,” covering female models in blue paint and dragging them across canvases. Klein also “recorded” rain by tying a canvas to the roof of his car and driving at high speeds.
