Tomás Taure Biography

Barcelona, 1944 -

Tomas Taure Alonso is a self-taught Spanish artist who works in a figurative style. By profession, he is a doctor and surgeon. Since 2000, he has been studying in the studio of painter Roberto Fuentes.

Taure uses an agile brushstroke to present the human figure, especially the feminine form, and thus shows off his virtuosity with color and form. His oil paintings give the feeling of being unfinished, his intention being that the viewer finish the painting conceptually.

His artworks are found in private collections in Spain, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Brazil, the United States, Argentina and Mexico.
