Prefete Duffaut Biography

Outstanding Haitian artist, Prevete Duffaut makes art that gets to the most authentic roots of popular culture in his country. Behind the apparent simplicity of his paintings there is a rich flow of history and legend that gives force and conviction to each work.
In 1951, Duffaut painted the famous mural in the Catedral de La Sagrada Trinidad.
His work has been shown frequently across the United Statues, including a contribution to the permanent collection at the Brooklyn Museum.
