This unusual painter shares his concept of his art: "My work is preoccupied with the invention of imaginary shapes or objects that are essentially abstract. The shapes do not represent anything specific, but are intentionally made to suggest somethig we may recognise. In this respect the paintings occupy a space between representation and non-representation. The combination of different materials and contrasting marks generates an uncertaintly that is revealed in the final image."
