Patrick Duperron Biography

Patrick Duperron is born the 23th of June 1958 in Lille, France. He spend his childhood in the Paris area. At the age of 7 he discover the art and his interest in creating art piece which lasts. He spend his childhood in the nature, painting paysages and still lifes. At the age of 19 he decided to enter the working life by working as a trainer. From 1983 to 1999 he worked hard on his career as an athlete, but the art stayed omnipresent in his mind. The art finally turned out to be his true passion and Patrick gave it a priority. After taking the important decision to work as a professional, a full time artist he spent his first years in Paris (2002) where he exposed at "Place des Voges" (Gallery). Philippe Rossignol asked him to paint and decorate his boat "Dragon" with his exceptional art. That followed Patrick exhibited inter alia in Annecy, Geneve, Port Marly, Lausanne, Malmö, Copenhague, Montreux, Paris, Aix-en-Provence, Lyon... 2004 Patrick decided to live and work at the Cote Azur, as he felt in love with the small village of Mougins.

Artist's Statement

"I don't like to take me too serious, I'm furthermore trying to tell stories which can be rediscovered and reinvented by those who look at my paintings. I want even amateurs in arts to be able to appropriate my art."
