Lima, Peru, 1959
Peruvian mid-career artist, Jose Cortez's works in the ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONIST style and his paintings are also influenced by the PRECOLUMBIAN cultures (Chavin, Chancay and Paracas) and the school of New York.
