Note: This was part of a portfolio of 8 prints made to illustrate the poems of W H Auden in 1973. The pet is regarded by many as one of the greatest writers of the 20th century. The main themes of his work are love, politics, religion and morals. He constantly examines the relationship between human beings and the impersonal world of nature. Moore was a great admirer of Auden’s works.
