Henry Moore Biography

1898 - 1986

British sculptor and printmaker, Henry Moore is considered to be one of the greatest British sculptor and printmakers.

Trained at the Royal College of Art (1923), he also taught there until 1931, when he moved to Chelsea School of Art to become the first head of the Sculpture department.

His most well known work is often figurative, depicting both the human figure and various natural elements.
