Jarrasri Roopkamdee Biography

Bangkok, 1969 -

Young EMERGING GERMAN-THAI artist, Jarrasri Roopkamdee creates beautiful and unique woodcuts.

The artist grew up in Khorat, Central Thailand, and studied art at the North- eastern Technical College.

Jarrasri works exclusively with woodcuts and expresses her inner feelings and emotions through this medium. Her art is often strongly emotional and tends to focus on loneliness, seasons or the forces of nature.

She held two solo exhibitions in Bangkok in 1996 and 1997, and participated in several group exhibitions in Germany in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
