Established Spanish painter and graphic artist Maria Luisa Sanz works in a Pop style that, in her early work, followed a classic American model, and later evolved to include a personal language, both optimistic and critical, that offers us, with comic elements, a surprising vision of our modern times. She has created a character she calls "The Empress", that is present--in different forms--in her artwork.
Maria Luisa was trained in the Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, in Spain. She has an extensive knowledge about graphic arts and ceramics.
She has exhibited nationally and internationally, in Spain, France and Holland. She has participated in various contests and group shows in Spain, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Egypt, Italy, etc. Her work can be found in the following MUSEUMS and COLLECTIONS: ?
