Willi Kissmer Biography

Duisburg, Germany, 1951 -

Established German contemporary artist, Willi Kissmer is best known for his beautiful REALIST depictions of female bodies in paintings and graphic prints (primarily, lithographs).

This musician and artist trained at the Folkwangscule, University of Essen and has later taught printmaking at the University of Duisberg.

The artist generally uses combinations of etching, aquatint, drypoint and mezzotint techniques on his copperplates.
