Philippe Monteagud Biography

Born in Paris to a French mother and a Spanish father, Philippe Monteagudo studied at the Bellas Artes in Paris.

Impressionist in theme and style, his sunny French and Spanish landscapes and scenes of public life are filled with vibrancy and playfulness. Their frequent humour, along with their bright colours and energy, invite the viewer to partake in this celebration of a Mediterranean life lived out of doors.

He has received numerous prizes and grants and his work can be found in the permanent collections of galleries in Paris, New York, Amsterdam, Washington, Illinois, Luxembourg, Bern and Valencia, as well as in many private collections.
