Albert Artwell Biography

Catadupa, Jamaica, 1942

Established Jamaican PAINTER and GRAPHIC ARTIST, whose colourful works illustrate scenes from the Scriptures in a humorous style reminiscent of NAÃ?VE or FOLK ART.

Artwell has held EXHIBTIONS throughout his native Jamaica as well as in the following international galleries:

1983 - Smithsonian Institute's Traveling Exhibition

1984 - Waggoner Gallery, Chicago
