Claude Monet Artwork Details

Detailed Description

Fabulous offset lithograph by The National Gallery after Claude Monet's original "impressionist" work, Bathers at La Grenouillère of 1869 - actually 5 years before the term "Impressionism" was coined, but it is accepted in fine art circles that this indeed was one of the first examples, and helped to lead the movement. Dimensions of the piece are: Support 310 mms x 400 mms, Plate 235 mms x 296 mms. Title and artist are displayed in lower border, together with the National Gallery mark with year of printing. The print is signed 'in the plate' by Monet with year (lower RH corner), and the item is in exemplary condition, just waiting to be mounted, framed then proudly displayed... (ref CS7/23 x1)
