Mexico City, 1962-
Established Mexican artist Almanzor?s FIGURATIVE sculptures treat the subject of couples and families. Born in Mexico City in 1962, he studied architecture and graphic design at University of Mexico City under the tutelage of renowned artist Marcelo Morandin, with whom he now has a sculpture workshop, and the painter Pilar Castaneda. His work is inspired by his religious upbringing and strongly influenced by the surrealist master Giacometti.
