Albert Vergés Biography

Torosa, Spain, 1967

A self-taught Spanish artist who works in a number of mediums, Albert Verges belongs to a generation of artists who evolved both within the classical discipline, as well as in the age of alternative means of artistic expression.

Since 1997 he has used binary codes as the major ordering principle of his pictorial work. His non pictorial work uses pieces of software, like his video games E-Ikonoklastes and OneZero Community, his video art like Urban Zapping and Nefertiti, his musical composition, and his sound design for film.
