Yves Klein Biography

A well-known French artist, Yves Klein is classified as neo-Dada or early Post-Modernist. His early painting is marked by a monochromatic blue palette.

As well as conventionally made paintings, he also used ?living brushes,? covering female models in blue paint and dragging them across canvases. Klein also ?recorded? rain by tying a canvas to the roof of his car and driving at high speeds.

He studied at the Ã?cole Nationale de la Marine Marchande and the Ã?cole Nationale des Langues Orientales. He died of a heart attack at the age of 34.
