Detailed Description

Work of artist Rosario de Mattos proyrcto Conducted for the Arts and Science 2010. Represents the colonies of microorganisms in the Antarctic, some emerging from the other, depending on the life of the other and in turn forming a cycle with more. Small circles (cycles per bacterium) are distributed to form a larger circle representing the annual seasonal cycle, all immersed in a cold bottom where you happen to see the micro level, layer upon layer, hexagonal ice crystals.
