Perico Pastor Biography

Barcelona-based painter and draughtsman, Perico Pastor emphasizes ordinary things and events in his art.
Trained in Barcelona, Pastor emigrated to New York, after a brief stint in the Spanish army, in Northern Africa. While in New York, his illustrations were published in Harper's, Village Voice, Vogue, and The New York Times.
His works were exhibited at the ESTAMPA Gallery, in Madrid, in 1983. Since then, he has exhibited in Barcelona, Granada, Hong Kong, Paris, New York, Tokyo and Miami.
He currently lives and works in Barcelona and often publishes illustrations in the leading Spanish newspapers, such as El Pais and La Vanguardia. He has also created murals for Hotel Rivoli Ramblas, l'Illa, y el IMIM, all located in Barcelona.
