Reference: Christopher Czwiklitzer: Picasso Posters” number 190 (The original poster of the same subject is Czw 50) Luis Carlos Rodrigo : “Picasso in his Posters” Volume 1 number 133 Note: This was made to advertise the forthcoming show given by the Madoura Gallery in 1963 of Picasso’s ceramic works. There was a larger work which was made as an Original Linocut and recorded in Bloch number 1300. The poster reflects cleverly with two simple lines which entwine , like a signature, the outline of a face of a faun. It’s features are grotesque and sensual and it’s eyes are full of mischief.
