Newman Mendes Biography
Born in Feb 1967, in Bandra, Bombay, I am a B.Com Graduate, and I have been painting since 1974, but I have taken painting seriously since 1984, when I entered Jehangir Art Gallery, Colaba, Bombay, for the first time and fell madly in love with the place, uptill then, whenever I passed by the Jehangir Art Gallery, I always thought, it was only for Art Collectors and the very Wealthy, rich and famous. And since 1984, I have been regularly visiting this awesome gallery and have began enjoying painting, especially working with Oil on Canvas. I also enjoy painting Jesus related topics or any Biblical themes, Landscapes, Seascapes, Nature, Mountains, WaterFalls and various Water pictures, Seashores, Water crashing on the rocks et.al.
