Marcel Bordei Biography

European-born Marcel Bordei is a mid-career painter who is well known for his wildlife art. Bordei studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest and credits his childhood exposure to nature as an early inspiration for his natural imagery. He now lives in Pennsylvania?s Pocono mountains, which provide continuing subject matter for his work.
His illustrations have appeared in publications such as ?Field and Stream? and ?The Conservationist.? His work is held by the Massachusetts Audubon Society as well as many private collections.
