Manuel Alcorlo Biography

Madrid, Spain, 1935

Well-known Spanish contemporary artist, Manuel Alcorlo is a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, since 1998.

Trained at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts, Alcorlo has received several prestigious Awards in Spain.

A selected list of AWARDS is as follows:

- 1957: 3rd Prize in Painting and Drawing, National Exhibition of Arts.
- 1959: Alcántara Prize –Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid.
- 1959: “Rodriguez Acosta” Award, Granada, Spain.
- 1961: II Prize in Printmaking, Ayuntamiento de Madrid
- 1963: “Maggio Engubbino” International Prize for Paintings, Gubio, Italy
- 1983: “Mapfre” Award
