Authenticity: This is accompanied by a certificate signed by Annie Guedras the Cocteau expert, Perigueux.
Provenance: Collection of Dominique Bert, Paris. The collector was a well known enthusiast for the works of this artist and has a very large collection of them from all periods. He held a major selling exhibition at which many of his works were disposed of at Le Louvre des Anatiquaires, Paris, in March/April 2007. This work was included in that exhibition but not in the catalogue which showed only a small number of the works exhibited.
