Stuart Redler Biography
London-based Stuart Redler is an exceptional photographer whose pieces capture the detail and the quintessence of the subject-matter.
This photographer was born in Somerset and studied economics until attending LCP in London to study for a photography degree.
He has been a photographer since 1983, initially shooting for magazines and design companies. During the 1990's, Stuart concentrated on advertising photography, with clients including Volkswagen, IBM, Sony, Ford, Microsoft and Volvo.
Over time, Stuart has transitioned to fine art photography. The subjects he photographs vary from people to architecture to landscapes. He often uses hard directional sunlight or flash in order to gain stark, high-contrast images.
Stuart has frequently appeared in The Association of Photographers annual awards and in 1999 received a gold for his architecture folio and a silver for his people photography. He has also received awards from Graphis, Communication Arts and The London Photographic Awards, among others.
His work is part of permanent COLLECTIONS at The National Portrait Gallery in London and has been exhibited at the V&A, London.
