Spain-based, Chema Madoz is one the best-known art photographers in the country.
Born in 1958, Chema Madoz studied Art History at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and photography at the Centro de Enseñanza de la Imagen, also in Madrid.
In 1985, he received his initial acclaim when the La Real Sociedad Fotografica de Madrid (The Royal Photography Society, Madrid) held the first major exhibition of his work. In 1988, the Sala Minerva del Circulo de Bellas Artes (Madrid) inaugrated its photography program with the artworks of Chema.
In 1990, this Artist began working in the area of OBJECT PHOTOGRAPHY, which remains the principal theme of his works, to this day.

1991: Exhibition "Four Directions - Spanish Contemporary Photography, Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid.
1991: Kodak Award.
1995: Editorial Art-Plus publishes its book, "Chema Madoz (1985 - 1995)".
1998: Editorial Mestizo, A. C. publishes a book titled "Mixtos - Chema Madoz".
1999: Exhibition at Centro Galego de Arte Contemporanea de Santiago de Compostela.
2000: National Photography Prize of Spain
