Also called ANTI-ART. A movement that started during the World War I and is characterized by the disillusionment and anarchic revolt against the traditional values.

The principal values of this movement included disregarded for individual works and traditional art media, like painting and sculpture, in favour of group activity and techniques like COLLAGE, PHOTOMONTAGE, OBJECTS, etc.

Renowned names of this art movement included: Jean Hans ARP, Marcel DUCHAMP, Max ERNST, Hannah HOCH, Francis PICABA, Man RAY, Morton SCHAMBERG and Kurt SCHITTERS.
